Eliot Fishman and Edwin Park, two key members of President-elect Biden’s health transition team, will join us to discuss what Medicaid and ACA issues and initiatives we will see raised in the coming year.

Eliot Fishman is the Senior Director of Health Policy at Families USA. At Families USA, his work includes directing major initiatives defending Medicaid at the national and state level; seeking to leverage system transformation to drive health equity; and building a national coalition around fundamental reform of prescription drug policy. Prior to joining Families USA, Eliot served at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services leading work with states on Medicaid waivers and federal policy on the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP), as well as Medicaid and CHIP quality measurement, eligibility, and enrollment.

Edwin Park is a Research Professor at the Georgetown University McCourt School of Public Policy. His work primarily focuses on Medicaid, the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) and the Affordable Care Act and he is considered one of the nation’s leading health policy experts on issues related to Medicaid and CHIP financing and the Affordable Care Act’s coverage expansions.
